Dear Theano and all, Loved your mother dearly. corresponded with her for thirty years, she almost always enclosed a photo of her paintings. Sometimes there was a small sketch folded carefully in the envelope. Will miss her.

What a blessing Joyce was to a nephew like me! She was a person of keen feeling, refined taste, courage, and expressive powers that radiated from her in an aura that was unmistakable.
