Joyce Ann Hildreth's Obituary
Joyce Ann Hildreth, 82, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at her home. Services will be held 6:00PM Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will be held from 4:00PM until the service hour Friday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Joyce Detterman was born January 12, 1942 in Clinton, the daughter of William and Agnita (Meader) Detterman. She was a 1960 graduate of Clinton High School. Joyce was a homemaker, raising her three children. She had also been employed at the Clinton garment Factory, and owned and operated O’Leary’s Pub, at Walgreens and Hy-Vee where she loved giving out samples to everyone.
Joyce married Lawrence E. Hildreth December 28, 1963 in Clinton.
Joyce was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital, was active with the Citizens Police Academy and Shop with a Cop as well as being active with her children’s education as a room mother at Elijah Buell and with PTA.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy E. (Shawn) Luckritz of Bettendorf, IA and son, William Hildreth; grandchildren Kyle (Lexee) Luckritz, Nicholas (Morgan) Luckritz and Adam (Krista) Luckritz; great grandchildren, Kennedy, Mylee, Kalani, Landry, Stiles and Rowan and siblings, Elaine Ebensberger of Clinton and Larry “Joe” (Wanda) Detterman of Clinton.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband in 2006 and her son John in 1992.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
