Joshua “Josh” Platter, 45, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, April 5, 2025.
A Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. A short service will conclude the visitation at 7:00pm. Graveside Services will be 11:00am, Friday, April 11, 2025 at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. A gathering at the AMVETS will follow the services at the cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers - Will Barker, Ben Fenzel, Adam and Ben Tyler, Terry Ullrich, and Matt Mostek.
Joshua Joseph Platter was born on June 18, 1979, in Clinton, the son of Curtis and Karen (Wilke) Platter. He was a 1997 graduate of Clinton High School.
Josh was currently working as an operator at Clysar for the past several years. He always found the adventure in life- going fast whether it be skiing, snowmobiling, or on his motorcycle. He loved to watch the Cubs and Bears with his son, and they were often outside riding in the side by side or playing ball.
Josh is survived by Angie Storjohann, with whom he shared his life with for 15 years, and their son Steel of Princeton, IA; his parents: Curt and Karen Platter of Clinton; his sister: Keri (Troy) Shelton of West Branch, Iowa, and niece and nephew: Karly and Blake Shelton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Vernon and Judith Wilke and paternal grandparents: James and JoAnn Platter.
