Joseph F. Macke Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph F. Macke, Jr, 68, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Allure of the Quad Cities – Moline, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be 7:00pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to the service time at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Joseph Francis Macke, Jr. was born on November 27, 1955 in Clinton, the son of Joseph and Leora (Reiling) Macke. He was a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School.
Joe was a proud union laborer working with Local 43 in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed watching his daughter in the high school band. He loved boating, fishing, and having a fish fry with his friends and family. He enjoyed carpentry projects and loved spending time with his friends when they would stop by the garage.
Joe is survived by his son: Chad (Liz) Macke of Camanche, his daughter: Abigail Macke of Camanche; his granddaughter: Mia Macke; his sister: Elaine Macke-McKinney of Camanche, and his brother: Ed (Sue) Macke of Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Diana, two brothers: James and Michael and his partner: Elizabeth “Buffy” Willis.
Memorials can be made to a college fund established for his daughter.
