Joseph Allen Edens' Obituary
Joseph Allen Edens, 63, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Mercy One, Clinton. Snell-Zornig is assisting the family with arrangements. A celebration of life for Joseph will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at snellzornig.com.
Joseph was born March 31, 1960 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Robert Allen and Dianna Gail (Cronk) Edens. He married Constance J. Lehne in October, 1984 in Camanche; she passed away October 15, 1996.
Joseph was an over the road trucker his entire working life, driving for Shaeffer’s Fish Market, AV Trucking and the Clinton Herald.
He Loved life and having a good time. Joseph enjoyed fishing, loved his “Hill” where he lived, dogs and wildlife. He was quite an artist, enjoying painting and carving.
Survivors include his children: Robert “Bob” Edens of Fulton, Illinois; Julie (Rick) Hansen of DeWitt, Iowa; Ted (Laura) Dodd of Clinton, Iowa and Tom (Mindy) Dodd of Bettendorf, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren including his special buddy Connor Edens and Caelyn Appleby; sisters: Dee Dee (Steve) Phillips of Clinton, Iowa and Barb (Gary) Engelkens of Fulton, Illinois; step-son, Robert “Wobbels” Wernick of Savanna, Illinois; step-daughter, Tashia Jackson of Fulton, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews.
