Jon Lynn Burggraaf's Obituary
Jon Lynn Burggraaf, 67, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, July 30, 2015 at his home, in Clinton.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Evangelical Free Church, 1010 13th Avenue North, Clinton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm, Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted the family with arrangements. Private burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Clinton.

Jon was born March 11, 1948 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the son of Russell A. and Betty L. (Howell) Burggraaf. He was a 1966 graduate of Clinton High School, attended the University of Iowa and University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Jon married Sharon Joy Benson on August 17, 1968 in Clinton.
He had been employed as the VP at Collis Company and most recently was a self employed entrepreneur.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served in the Philippines.
He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church and was a follower of Jesus. He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoyed boating and the Mississippi River, he was a pilot and enjoyed aviation, was an avid mechanic, enjoyed comedy movies and had a great sense of humor.
Jon is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Mark (Mindy) Burggraaf of Fulton, IL and Nathan (Kim) Burggraaf of Lakeville, MN; daughters, Paula (Matt) Pisney of Marshalltown, Iowa and Juliana (Stosch) Sabo of Mason City, Iowa; grandchildren, Addison, Paul Benson, Avaya, Ethan and Isaiah; brother, James (Pat) Burggraaf of Lawrenceville, GA and his mother, Betty of Bettendorf.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell and brother, Daniel.
