John Young, 94, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Alverno.

John was born June 11, 1921 in Gassaway, WV, the son of Francesco and Lillie Belle (Drake) Young. He married Jessie Peters on January 12, 1945 at Fort Bragg, NC.
John was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Central Pacific and New Guinea.
He had been employed with Northwestern Bell as a lineman for more than 45 years. He was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton.
John is survived by his wife, Jessie; daughter, Jone (John) Trumpeter of Clinton, IA; son, John (Carla) Young of Byron, IL and granddaughters, Allysha and Jessica Young.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers.
