John H. Sander, 81, of Clinton formerly of Camanche passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Eagle Point Health Care Center – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark, Owen and Reece Lindstrom, Alan and Ronald Knapper and David Murphy. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
John Henry Sander was born at home on March 28, 1938 in Rural Camanche, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Evangeline (Broderson) Sander. He attended a one room school house in Rural Camanche. He enjoyed attending activities with Partners for Exceptional People (PEP) and loved Fishing Has No Boundaries. John enjoyed the activities at Eagle Point including Wii Bowling and drawing pictures for many of his friends there. He also enjoyed his outings to go shopping and lunch at Burger King.
John is survived by his three sisters: Elizabeth Lindstrom of Delmar, Grace (Walter) Knapper of DeWitt and Rachel Estes of Clinton and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: August, Harold and infant Billy.
