John Richard Roth Sr.'s Obituary
John Richard Roth, Sr., 62 of Clinton, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Cremation will take place at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. John was born January 30, 1959 in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Richard “Dick” and Patricia (Kiefer) Roth. John Married Cynthia Goble August 4, 2007 in Clinton, Iowa.
He was employed as a mason at ADM from September 8, 1998 until 2020. John enjoyed playing the drums and guitar and riding motorcycles. He, along with his son, John loved working, building things and home improvement. He was a selfless guy and would do anything for his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Cynthia Roth; son, John Roth, Jr. and granddaughter, Emma Roth of Clinton, the Lopez, Parker, Hoffman and Vugteveen families; siblings, LeAnn (Leroy) Young of Clinton; Christine (Keith) Lyman, Sr., of Sharon, VT; Frank LaShelle of Rock Island, IL; Lorna (Elmer) Pothof of Clinton; James (Jean) LaShelle, Sr. of Clinton; Kym Just of Clinton and Larry (Debi) Thein of DeWitt; his mother, Patricia (Joe) Murty of Clinton and his brother-in-law, Mike (Lorena) Cherry of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Regina Roth and brother, Robert Roth.
