Sam and I were saddened to hear of John's passing, and want you to know he is in our thoughts and prayers. The loss of a spouse or parent is so difficult. We were sorry to hear that he had broken his hip as we know that didn't help his situation. We pray there will be better days ahead. Take care of yourself.

Bruce, sorry to hear about your father. I occasionally log onto clinton herald on-line and came across your father's obit recently. Condolences to you and your family. Teri
I was a patient from the start of his career in Clinton until I left the area in'80. As a youngster I had braces & every Wed. I'd go to his office for tightening & cleaning. In '68 I went into the Air Force. I did not trust the USAF dentists. So, on one of my leaves to Clinton I called to see if he'd take care of me. And, as always, he got me in & not sure he even charged me.He probably got his moneys worth out of me when I said to him"yeah, I don't trust those Air Force dentists.."During his inspection. He stated matter of factually "you know,Jim, I was an Air Force dentist before I was YOUR dentist"

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I shall continue to remember Dr Ringdahl as a man who expressed such joy in working hard on your lovely grounds. His yard was always a show-garden, and a tribute to a very kind and gentle old soul.

I was so sorry to hear that Dr. Ringdahl had passed away. I remember him as a very kind man, a wonderful dentist (the only one I didn't mind going to), and a great neighbor. I remember those fun ski trips to Wisconsin, raking piles of leaves from the big oak tree, sledding down your hill in the winter - and he was always smiling. What great memories. He will be greatly missed.

I am sorry to have read about your father's death published in the Quad City Times.
Your father and I did many patient treatment plans together. He was a fine person and dentist, and I enjoyed working with him on his patients. John was an interesting and active person. You and your family truely had a great role model to follow.

Dr. Ringdahl was our family dentist for many, many years. I will remember him as a truly kind person who was an absolute professional. It was always a pleasure to see him (even when it meant a painful dental procedure!). It was a treat to run into him during a trip to Clinton a few years ago. Please accept heartfelt condolences from the Carstensen family.
