John A. Oestreich's Obituary
John A. Oestreich, 37, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center – East, Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cory Cram, Michael Anderson, Mason Weller, Austin Weller, Kaden Weller, Dustin Ditzman, Chris Hogreve, and Allen Metz. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
John Allen Oestreich was born on February 9, 1984 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of John and Tammy (Bailey) Oestreich. He was a 2002 graduate of Clinton High School.
John was recently employed with UFP Industries as a packer/quality control for the last 5 years. He had also worked at Mercy in the custodial department. He loved riding motorcycles, hunting ducks and deer, fishing and shooting. He was a friend to many, enjoyed being the fun uncle, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
John is survived by his father: John (Connie) Oestreich of Clinton, his mother: Tammy (Carl) Dunning of Cedar Rapids; his siblings: Sandy (Chris) Hogreve of Clinton, Deann Weller of Davenport, Tonya (Allen) Metz of Low Moor, and Michael (Holly) Anderson of Clinton; step-siblings: Stephanie (Scott) Hendricks and Stacy (Karl) Boulier both of Port Huron, Michigan, and Amy Dunning of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an infant brother: John Jr., and brother-in-law that was like his brother: Randy Weller.
