John "Jack" Jenkins Jr.'s Obituary
John “Jack” W. Jenkins Jr., 63, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, September 28, 2014 at their home.
Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Following the services his body will be cremated. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be John Huling, Gerry McDowell, Bill Crampton, Mark Mahmens, Jim Stone, Larry Goodwin and Bill Broadrick. John William Jenkins, Jr., was born on March 30, 1951 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of John “Bill” and Rita Jenkins. He married Robbi Handy on August 2, 1975 in Clinton.
Jack was a heavy equipment operator with Local 150 for 40 years.
Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson, Julian. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also loved his dog Bugsy and reminiscing with friends, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Jack is survived by his wife: Robbi of Clinton; his daughter: Chelsea (Jeremy Ray) Jenkins of Clinton, his son: Derek Jenkins of Clinton; his grandson: Julian Ray; his brothers: Tom “Bouk” (Kitty Jenkins of Clinton; David Lee of Sabula, Iowa, Tom (Sandy) Lee of West Bend, Wisconsin, Scott Lee of Sabula, Iowa; three sisters: Melody (Jeff) Loy of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, Teena (Doug) Franzen of Sabula, and Michelle (Shelly) Marshall of Sabula, his uncle: Alfred (Marie) Parker of Clinton, and his brother-in-law: John (Julie) Handy of Clinton; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, his brothers: David Jenkins and Bobby Staver, his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Robert and Florence Handy and his grandparents.
