John J. Braden, Jr., 88, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Prairie Hills – Clinton.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery.
John Joseph Braden, Jr. was born on July 2, 1933 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of John and Nellie (Kreucher) Braden. He was a 1951 graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He married Lavonne Waugh on July 27, 1969 in Elwood, Iowa; she passed away in 2003.
John was employed with DuPont for over 33 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, was a member of CAST and was active in many plays in community theatre.
John is survived by several nieces, a nephew, and one sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Showboat Theatre.
