Joe E. Jackson, 87, of Clinton passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Resthave Home in Morrison.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 pm (Noon), Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Jewel, Kevin Lehmkuhl, Scott Jackson, Steve Kuster , Fred Halcomb, BJ Jackson of and Steven Kuster. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Joe Elmo Jackson was born February 3, 1936 in Chilhowie, Virginia, the son of Joe and Stella (Stines) Jackson. He attended CHilhowie Virginia Community School. He married Arlene Anderson on May 7, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa; she preceded him in death in 2007. Joe worked for Collis Company as a leadman for 38 years when he retired.
He enjoyed Stock Car racing, Nascar racing, trips to the casino and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his two children: Alice (Steve) Kuster of Clinton and Frank (Tammy) Jackson of Clinton; grandchildren: Sheila (Kevin) Lehmkuhl, Kayla Kuster, Steven Kuster, Kyle (Kayla) Jackson and Scott Jackson; great grandchildren: Jacob Lehmkuhl, Tyler Lehmkuhl, Lucas Lehmkuhl, Jenna Lehmkuhl, Hattie Jackson and Brooks Jackson; brothers: Dan (Brenda) Jackson of Chilhowie, Virginia, Ronnie Jackson of Marion, Virginia and Harold Jackson of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, his parents, several brothers and sisters and his grandparents.
