I am grateful to have known Joanne through singing with Clintones just 10 years ago.
We had a great time performing a duet at one of the Clintones concerts.
We became friends, and I was glad to help her occasionally when she was no longer able to come to Clintones. During the past year I visited with her at the Alverno, and enjoyed hearing her reminisce about the many happy family occasions, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She spent many hours listening to her music tapes from her days in the band.
She always had family and friends on her mind. While visiting her at the Alverno she would often have me look up birthdays and prepare cards to send. Sometimes it could be a task to sift through her address book which was overflowing with names and addresses-many crossed out with new ones added. As I searched for the correct address Joanne would tell me about the people she was sending cards to.
We carry a part of those we meet. I will gladly carry Joanne in my heart. I know she is singing with the angels now!
