JoAnn M. Krainz's Obituary
JoAnn M. Krainz, 85, of Camanche passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at MercyOne – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. She will be buried in Clinton Lawn Cemetery with her husband at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Mary JoAnn Carlton was born March 16, 1934 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Switzer) Carlton. She was a 1952 graduate of Frontenac High School in Kansas. She married Joseph Krainz on October 4, 1952 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
JoAnn worked as a welder for Warren’s and later for Central Steel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Joe of Camanche; two sons: Wayne (Sheila) Krainz of Camanche and Keith (Kim) Krainz of Camanche; two grandchildren: Shannon (Derrick) Barry of Bettendorf and Stacy (Jason) Paulsen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; seven great grandchildren: Madelynn, Kambrynn, Casey, Ryan, Trevor, Ethan and Chase; four great great grandchildren; two sisters: Judy (Richard) Cronister of Topeka, Kansas and Teresa (Larry) Bruffy of Joplin, Missouri; sister-in-law: Janice Cook of Camanche; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant sister, sister Margaret and two brothers David and Tex.
