Joan M. Lawrence, 92, of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, July 8, 2023.
Services will be 6:00pm, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to the service time on Tuesday.
Joan Margaret Fielder was born on June 3, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Ignatius and Margaret (Fielder) Sexton. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels Academy in 1949. She married Harold Lawrence on October 1, 1950; he died July 5, 2012.
Joan was a travel agent her entire life, managing many travel agencies in the Clinton area. She was also an instructor at the Universal Travel Institute in Fort Myers, Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joan is survived by a son: Sean (Andrea) of Camanche, a grandson, Nick (Cherie) Lawrence, granddaughters: Stacy (Chris) Powers and Megan (Colin) Sullivan and grandson Jordan Lawrence; a daughter-in-law: Terri Lawrence (Tony Amesquita) of Sterling, IL; granddaughters Erica Lawrence, Sara (Jason) Graham, Maggie (Randy) Block and Stacy (Chris) Delimata; Great Grandchildren; Courtney (Brandon) Carter and Lauren Fritz, Weston Sisson, Shay Willette, Lainey and Delia Block, Taylor, Tyson, and Kendall Powers, Jaxson, Brinlynn, Emersyn, and Peyton Lawrence and Lawson, Sutton, Tillmyn Sullivan; and one great-great grandson: Kru Carter. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Stacy, a son: Scott, and a brother: Ronald Sexton.
