Joan C. Greene's Obituary
Joan Carol Greene, 80 of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Services will be 7:00PM Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 3:00PM until the service hour at the funeral home Friday. Joan Rowe was born August 11, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William C. and Lulu (Farrell) Rowe. She was a 1962 Clinton High School graduate. Joan married Harrison Greene November 21, 1964 in Clinton, Iowa; Harrison died September 23, 1993.
Joan was a housekeeper at the Alverno for many years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Eagles Club.
Survivors include her children, Michael (Jun) Greene of Chicago, IL; John (Alicia) Greene of Clinton, IA and Rebecca Greene of Clinton, IA; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and sisters, Shirley Dash of Clinton and Pat Bennett of Nicholasville, KY and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick; two sisters; two brothers and several fur babies that she loved throughout her life.
