Jo Hagemeier's Obituary
Jo Ann Hagemeier, 72, of Clinton died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Jo Ann Green was born on April 7, 1937 in Frankville, IA, the daughter of Ralph Edgar and Ethel (Meier) Green. She married Edward Paul Hagemeier on July 25, 1953 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon, IA. She was a homemaker, and waitressed for many years at several local establishments. She loved to quilt and garden, and was especially proud of her African Violets. She is survived by her husband Edward of Clinton; children: Linda (LeRoy) Cook of Gig Harbor, WA, Kevin (Julie) Hagemeier of Folletts, IA, Craig (Chris) Hagemeier of Dekalb, IL, Edith (Kenneth) Wiersema of Fulton, IL, Edwin Hagemeier of Gaffney, SC, and Mark (Brenda) Hagemeier of Albany, IL; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons: Alan and Richard Hagemeier, 2 brothers: Wayne and John Green, and one sister, Eileen Bentley.
