Jessie "Peggy" M. Young, 94, of Clinton passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Westwing Place in DeWitt.
Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Jessie Margaret Peters was born September 4, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of William and Jessie Drysdale (Conery) Peters. She was a 1970 graduate of Clinton High School. She married John Young in Ft Bragg, North Carolina on January 12, 1945; he preceded her in death on June 19, 2015.
Peggy was a homemaker and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two children: Jone (John) Trumpeter of Clinton and John (Carla) Young of Mesquite, Nevada; two grandchildren: Allysha Young and Jessica Young; and two great grandchildren: Brianna and Antonio.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sister.
