Jerry Allen Edfors' Obituary
Jerry A. Edfors, 72, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his home.
Funeral Services will be 1 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Edfors, Dave Keller, Scott Edfors, Justin Ralston, Robert George and Jerry Edfors. Jerry Allen Edfors was born on August 13, 1940 in Riverside, Iowa the son of Peter and Ethel (Hesseltine) Edfors. He married Deloris Jordan Goodell on July 19, 1969 in Rockford Illinois.
Jerry was employed at Case IH in East Moline for 30 years retiring in 1993.
Jerry was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Bears, Cubs and Hawkeyes.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Deloris of East Moline, Illinois; his children: Margie (Tim) Dorland of St. Louis, Missouri, Debbie Ammeter of Clinton, Allen (Barb) Edfors of Clinton, Marvin Goodell of Rock Island, Il, Jim (Vicky) Goodell of Springdale, Arkansas, Rex Goodell of East Moline, Il, and Todd Goodell of Barstow, Il; 26 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren, four sisters: Frances (Dick) Morrow of Wayland, Iowa, Debbie Liska of Clinton, Margie (Stan) Ralston of Clinton, and Mary (Ron) Newman of Clinton; two brothers: Robert Morgan of Clinton, and Ronnie (Debbie) Edfors of Fulton, Il. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Misty, sisters: Francine Low and Thelma Farrer and brothers, Howard, Dave, Martin, Guy and Pete Edfors.
