Jerry DeGroot's Obituary
Jerry DeGroot, 59, of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the home of his daughter in Clinton, IA. A celebration of life with military honors is being planned for a later date. Jerry was born December 18, 1960 in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Franklin and Helen (Miller) DeGroot.
Jerry was a United States Army Veteran. He had been employed as a truck driver for the past 16 years with Tyson. He enjoyed fishing, collecting avon cars and building model cars but most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Alisha (Jeremy) George of Galesburg, IL; Casie (Stephen) DeGroot-Watters of Clinton, IA and Samantha DeGroot of Sedalia, MO; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Janet (Steve) Peters of Galva, IL and Jacklin (Erv) DeGroot-Beckner of Abingdon, IL and brother, John (Connie) DeGroot of Jacksonville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James.
