Jeffrey Parker's Obituary
Jeffrey R. Parker, 66, of Clinton passed away, Friday, October 20, 2023.
Jeffrey Richard Parker was born on March 11, 1957 in Clinton, the son of Gerald and Corrinne (Dautremont) Parker.. He was a 1975 graduate of Clinton High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. He attended DeVry Institute and graduated in 1979. He married Cynthia (Rowland) Wiersema on December 12, 2012.
With his brothers, Jeff co-owned and operated Lectronics Inc. and was a majority owner in KROS radio station. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, water skiing, and Formula One racing. He was a regular participant in local road races including the B-rrry Scurry. He also enjoyed supporting his grandchildren’s activities.
Jeff is survived by his wife: Cynthia of Clinton; three children: Shannon (Kevin) Radle of Muscatine, Heather (Nick) Carlson of Goose Lake, Jared (Britni) Parker of Andover; four step-children: Holly (Jason) Mullin of Goose Lake, Brian Wiersema (Chandra) of Riverside, Lea Wiersema of Clinton, and Emily (Craig) Wiersema of Earlville; 10 grandchildren; and his siblings: Jan (Louis Gerteis) Parker of St. Louis, Missouri, David (Deb) Parker of Stockton, Illinois, and Scott (Kelli) Parker of Sabula, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bradley Parker.
A visitation will be from 2 to 5pm, November 5, 2023 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Jeff’s honor to CCC Paul B Sharar Foundation (B-rrry Scurry Scholarships).
