Janice was employed at General Electric in Morrison for 25 years and later retired from Products Unlimited.
Janice or “Grams” enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime. She was the dedicated fire stoker at her campsite. She was quite the traveler from motorcycle trips on the Harley, to motorhome vacations with the family to places such as South Dakota and Niagra Falls. She even drove her motorhome pulling her van all by herself to Texas. She created cherished memories with her grandchildren. When they were little she used to love to read them scary stories all cuddled up in bed with her. She also loved to take them hiking on trails when they went camping. One of the favorite things the grandchildren loved doing with Grams was baking her famous Christmas cookies, and can’t forget her delicious Scotheroos that everyone asked for. She was a very loyal and devoted wife. She was SO LOVED by her family.
Janice is survived by her daughters: Lisa (Delbert) Cowan of Erie, Illinois, and JoEllen (Kevin) Riordan of Marinette, Wisconsin; five grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; step-daughter: Michelle Paulnock of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, step-daughter-in-law: Leah Mitchell of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; 17 step-grandchildren; and her sister: Sue Housenga of Fulton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands, two sisters, and one brother.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Beacon of Hope Hospice for their care and compassion.
