Janice Mary (Ewing) Schutte Bash, 79 of Clinton, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at her home in Clinton. Visitation will be held from 4 -7PM Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made by visiting snellzornig.com.
Janice Ewing was born January 7, 1940 in Delmar, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Frances (Ashpole) Ewing. She was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Darold Schutte December 22, 1958 in Camanche, Iowa; she later married John Bash March 24, 2000 in Clinton, Iowa, he died January 4, 2010.
She had been employed at Lozano’s Mexican Restaurant and McDonald’s for more than 25 years; she had also been employed as a greeter at Walmart for more than five years.
She was formerly a member of the Community Congregational Church, she enjoyed her monthly get together with her classmates and she was a member of the Red Hat’s.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Schutte, daughter’s, Catheryn Schutte and Stephanie (Brian) Frett all of Clinton, Iowa; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, John Bash, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Donna Mae Ewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
