Janette L. Ketelsen's Obituary
Janette L. Ketelsen, 86, of Clinton passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at The Alverno, Clinton, Iowa.
Memorial Services celebrating her life will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton, Iowa on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:30 am. Visitation will be from 10:30 until the service time at the church. There will be a luncheon to follow. Burial will be at a later date in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Janette Lou Krueger was born on March 10, 1938 in Elgin, Iowa, the daughter of Eileen and Gus Krueger. She married Richard Ketelsen in 1959. They were married for over 65 loving years. During the early years of her marriage, Janette wanted to be a stay at home mom for her children. Her family was very important to her. She wanted to be home when her children needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
She worked many years as a part time secretary during her life. She was the secretary at Chancy Lutheran Church for 20 years. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, crafts, reading and taking weekend trips.
Janette is survived by her husband Richard of Clinton; two children: Kirk (Renee) Ketelsen of Geneseo, Illinois and Kris Ketelsen of Silvis, Illinois; granddaughter: Jenna (Alonso) Ochoa of East Moline; great grandchildren: Emmett and Sophie Ochoa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister: Jeanette.
