Janet J. Jackson's Obituary
Janet J. Jackson, 79, of Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Alverno.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from Tuesday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Janet Joy Evers was born on October 22, 1946, in Clinton, the daughter of Wayne an Maxine (Bott) Evers. She was a 1964 graduate of Northeast High School; after attending thru 8th grade in a one room country school. She would later graduate from the Franciscan University and received a Masters degree in Teaching. She married Lawrence Jackson on June 3, 1967, in Clinton.
Janet worked for AC Nielsens for several years before becoming a Title I Reading teacher in the Clinton Community School District for many years retiring in 2010. She was a member of the First Methodist Church – Clinton. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her husband: Larry of Clinton; her children: Brian (Ann) Jackson of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Michelle (Jimmy Sheehan) Jackson of Lake Zurich, Illinois; three grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathaniel, and Ella; and her brother: Garth (Susan) Evers of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials can be made to the First Methodist Church.
