Janet S. Hicks, 69 of Camanche passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Genesis Medical Center - East.

Janet Susanne Bennett was born June 12, 1956 in Newport, Rhode Island, the daughter of Rivola and Donna (Taylor) Bennett. She attended Scott Community College where she earned her Associates Degree. She married Robert Hicks on April 3, 2010 in Calamus, Iowa. Janet truly enjoyed her job at the Railcrew Express where she worked for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband Robert Hicks of Camanche; three children: LeRoy McFarland of Sioux City, Iowa, Sarah Sanders of Rock Island, Illinois and Jason Phelps of Sioux City, Iowa; granddaughter: Alesha Sanders of Lamars, Iowa; and sister Teri LeAnne of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
