Jane Miller's Obituary
Jane H. Miller, 91, of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Clinton, IA, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Pastor Elizabeth Liggett of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Clinton will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Jane Henrietta Obermiller was born January 15, 1918 in Clinton, IA to the late Henry and Alma Obermiller. She was educated in the Clinton schools. She married Everett H. Miller on June 5, 1937 in Clinton; he passed away on September 16, 2000. She worked for the Clinton Garment Company for 25 years until retiring in 1980. Both Jane and Everett were former members of Zion Lutheran Church and Charter members of the Lutheran Church of Atonement. In 1982, she and Everett moved to Pensacola, FL to be near family and their grandchildren. There they were members of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Pensacola, FL. Jane was beloved by all who met her, and her wonderful smile will be remembered by all who knew her.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons: Daniel (Marie) Miller and Larry Miller, all of Pensacola, FL; one brother: Ray (Rachel) Obermiller of Grinnell, IA; one sister: Ann Evers of Camanche, IA; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Everett, she was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one sister, and 6 brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
