James F. Walker's Obituary
James F. Walker, 85, of Clinton, passed away, June 3, 2022 at the home of his daughter.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Following the services the body will be cremated.
James Francis Walker was born on June 22, 1936 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Harry and Carolyn (Krava) Walker. He was a 1956 graduate of Clinton High School. He married Karen H. Krause on October 1, 1960 in Clinton, Iowa; she passed away February 5, 2015.
Jim worked for Allied Steel for over 28 years, he also worked at Medical Associates for Newman Cleaning Systems.
Jim was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed all sports, but especially his beloved Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and the Hawkeyes. His favorite sport in high school was football and was most proud of his 74 yrd touchdown as a defensive player. He loved his grandchildren very much and loved to be a goofball with them.
Jim is survived by his daughter: Diane (Matt) Thomas of Indianola, Iowa and two grandchildren: Taylor Thomas and Walker Thomas.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
