James C. Triplett's Obituary
Jim Triplett was born Sept 14. 1951 and died at 71 years of age on Oct 8, 2022. He lived his entire life in Clinton, IA. He graduated from Clinton High School and attended Clinton Community College. He was married to Rebecca Naeve Triplett until their divorce. They remained good friends throughout their lives.
Jim suffered polio at age of 4 and was plagued throughout his life by a paralyzed left arm. This limited his employment options, but he overcame that limitation with a successful career in sales – selling at various times autos, furniture and flooring. In off hours he was a true “river rat” with a love for boating and fishing on the Mississippi. Later in life he was a huge NASCAR fan, especially for his favorite driver “Junior.”
As Jim’s health deteriorated with cancer, he relied heavily on former wife Becky and the MercyOne hospice nursing team.
Jim is survived by brother Tom Triplett of Stillwater Minnesota, sister Nancy Triplett of St Paul Minnesota, and Becky Triplett of Clinton. Becky and Jim’s son Andrew preceded him in death.
