James L. Shoemaker's Obituary
James L. Shoemaker, 51, of Clinton passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at his home.
Memorial Services will be 12:00 pm (noon), Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. James Lee Shoemaker was born May 13, 1969 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Melvin E. and Shirley A. (Dalrymple) Shoemaker. He attended St. Mary’s High School and then graduated from Clinton High School in 1988.
Jamie worked as a Welder for ADM and was an auto body mechanic by trade. He enjoyed repairing and building cars and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed going for walks, listening to music and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his father Melvin Shoemaker of Clinton; brother: Anthony Proud of Savanna, Illinois; aunt: Donna Dalrymple of Clinton, three nieces: Jennifer Proud of Clinton, Samantha Jewell of Clinton and Tabatha Harris of Clinton; close friends: Joyce, Johnny, Shalome and Scott Jackson, and daughter Heather Shoemaker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, and great aunt Rae Dalrymple.
