He was a very good neighbor, I enjoyed talking to him or sometimes just a wave!!Susan Herrmann
Kathy and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Always enjoyed his Halloween antics on Melrose. Dorothy (Ward) Anderson and the Mataya children (John,Leslie. and Laura)

I remember Jim so well from the Class of ‘62. He was a great athlete then and we shared our love of noisy cars, especially the “Go Ninety” with the slit manifold. Bought the manifold from him for my 1st car, an old Chevy. Always great to see him at the reunions We had. Condolences for his family. Tom Mooney
I went to high school with Jim. He was a great athlete, probably the best in our class. We played lot of pickup football and basketball together. One of our pickup football games with some guys from Clinton high got very rough. One night we went out and drank some of his father's home-made wine. It was not very good, but we had a good time. The last time I saw him was at the all-classes St. Mary's reunion about 5 years ago. I sat next to him and we had a great time. He will be missed! Dan Thornton class of 1962.
To Kathy, Ian, Abby and other family and friends - I was sad to hear of the passing of Jim. Jim had a special way of making everybody laugh and smile making even average baseball players feel like they were great! I have so many fond memories of Jim and he will be missed by many.
I am so grateful for many wonderful memories of Jim. He was one of a kind. He will always have a special place in my heart. Love, Kit
I am so sorry to know of the passing of this great man. I think everyone who knew Jim loved him. I remember the stories he told me about his children when they were growing up. Even when he told the most hilarious and outrageous stories, in addition to all the laughter, there were always tears of love in his eyes. I could tell that, for him, every day was a sweet memory. May you all be comforted by your memories of Jim, a man who was a model of complete and selfless devotion to his family and his community. May the soul of this sweet man forever rest in peace.
