James R. Putman, 84, of Camamche, passed away, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at his home in Camanche.

James Robert Putman was born on February 3, 1935 in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, the son of Clarence and Ruby (McPhee) Putman. He married Elin Hungerford on July 16, 1954 in Cornwall, Ontario.
Jim served in the United States Army from 1955-1958. He was employed at Chemplex,/Quantum/Lyondell for 30 years retiring in 1997 as shift supervisor. He was proud of his perfect attendance.
Jim enjoyed duck hunting, boating, and snowmobiling.
Jim is survived by his wife: Elin of Camanche; three sons: Terry (Sue) Putman of Rock Island, Illinois; Tony Putman of Camanche; Rob (Renee) Putman of Camanche; daughter: LeeAnn Putman-Thomas of Adel, Iowa; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and his brother: John (Linda) Putman of Athens, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Memorials can be made to the Salvation Army.
