James Griffin Phillips' Obituary
James Griffin Phillips, 76, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation. Services will be held at 1PM, Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 12:00PM to1:00pm. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery.
James was born May 11, 1941 in Waverly, TN, the son of Griffin and Lillian (Gholston) Phillips.
He had been employed as a janitor.
Survivors include his sisters, Barbara (Lawrence) Luten of Davenport, IA; Sandra (Melvyn) Walton of Rock Island, IL and Audrey Phillips of East Moline, IL; brothers, Charles Phillips Andrew Phillips of East Moline, IL and Ronald Phillips of East Moline, IL and several nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the family.
