Lents Family...I began working at the Lents funeral home in August of 1968. I was always treated like family by all of them. Bud and the boys as well as Bob Milar were my mentors, my examples of how to live my life. They taught me integrity, kindness and patience. I retired over eight years ago and go back to serve our families to this day when called upon. Jim and John were like brothers to me. Always in my heart. RIP Jim Tom Lynch

This has been such a shock for all of us. I know Jim is up there watching us and knows we will get thru things. He was such a great guy. I will remember his smile when he would talk to you and tilt his head at you. I also will remember his long islands and my first visit to Michigan. Thank you for sharing Jim and all various adventures with all of you. He will always be in a special part of my heart. Hugs and prayers for all of you.
It’s hard to believe that only such a short time that Jim and I had known each other that we had so many things in common. And no I don’t mean ornery and cranky and such a dry sense of humor. Our Tuesday coffee hours were a chance to talk about so many topics. It could be kids one day and dogs another. Politics was always an open and opinionated topic. We talked about religion and we would swing into who did the dumbest stuff. Which tree to cut down and what grandkids did. I will miss him more than you could ever know. We met Jim 25 years ago at Oak Run. We lived close by and became good friends. They were the first couple to welcome us to Oak Run. We knew we would always have a good time when we visited with him and Val. He could make the best Long Island Ice Tea's. A very special friend. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Sending love and prayers to Val and her family.
