Condolences to the family. Our prayers and good thoughts to all.
Jabber leaves us all with some great 'memories'.
Jerri, Jim was such a great friend of our fanily, as a child, I rode my tricyle all over South Clinton. Jim always hung out with my cousin Jim Smith from 12th Ave, and I just thought I was one of the boys. When I refused to go home, both Jabber and Jimmy Smith would chase me. I am very sorry for your loss, he had to be one of the funniest persons I ever met, he used to make me laugh and I would pee my pants, then I would start crying. When I tell my husband stories about South Clinton, the Bark boys, Lewis, boys and the Lingle family are at the top of our discussions.
My condolences to all of the Bark family on the passing of a good friend. I have so many memories of the Bark family growing up in So. Clinton just down the street from the Clary's household. Of course the most vivid is when Jim dove into the river when my brother Bob was drowning. He kept Bob up long enough for a passing fisherman to haul them both to shore. Bob was basically "gone" and was revived by Bill Jenkins' dad after being pulled out of the river. But if not for Jim Bark, he would surely have drowned. Years later, Jim and Bob had one of the classic street fights in S. Clinton history. It went on seemingly for hours. Later they made up and were good friends again. Rich Clary
Jim was always a great inspiration to all of us kids in South Clinton and will be sorely missed. My sympathy to Gerri and family.
Jims family has our deepest sympathies. Jim was a great guy and fun to be around.
