Jack J. Koop's Obituary
Jack J. Koop, 88, of Clinton, passed away, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home in Prairie Hills Assisted Living – Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Jack J. Koop was born on March 4, 1927 in Clinton, the son of William and Hazel (Reusche) Koop. He was a 1945 graduate of Clinton High School. He attended Tech Deforest Inc. School for electronics. He married Marjorie Holgaard in Clinton on December 28, 1947; she preceded him in death on November 30, 1988. He married Mary Ann Roling in Camanche on May 10, 1990; she preceded him in death on October 13, 1997. He married Marian Huebner in Clinton on October 11, 2001; she preceded him in death on September 13, 2013.
He served in the Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1946 during WWII.
Jack worked for Clinton Corn Processing in the Instrumentation Department for 32 years. He retired in 1992. After retiring he worked maintenance at Eagle Point Nursing Home for many years.
Jack was an active member of the St. Stephens Church when it was open and then Chancy Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Lyons Masonic Lodge #93 and an active member of the American Legion.
Jack is survived by his two sons: David Koop of Silverthorne, Colorado and Rob Koop of Clinton and two grandsons: Mike Koop of Virginia, Minnesota and John Koop of Eagle River, Alaska.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three wives, and 1 brother.
