Jack Arthur Bruhn, 81, of Clinton, IA, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, IA. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Jack was born on December 21, 1926, in Clinton, IA, the son of Henry and Mary (McEleney) Bruhn. He married Roberta Mae Armstrong on October 5, 1947 in Clinton, Iowa. Jack was a WWII US Army veteran, was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a member of the American Legion, the Clinton Moose Lodge #363, and Clinton Emulation Lodge # 255. He was employed at DuPont as a pipe fitter in maintenance for over 37 years, retiring in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Roberta Mae of Clinton; daughter, Linda Temple of Clinton; son Andrew Bruhn of Clinton; grandsons, Michael (Becky) Temple of Clinton and Matthew and Brett; great-grandchildren, Thomas and Abby Temple; brother, Donald Bruhn of West DesMoines, IA; sisters-in-law, Helen Bruhn of Clinton and Betty Abshire of Clinton; brothers-in-law, Gerhardt Jensen of Clinton and Bill Owen of California and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital, Mercy Dialysis or the American Diabetes Association.
