I met Chuck & Izetta Bokenkroger when attending USS CUMMINGS ship reunions in the early 2000s. My father, Jim Cox, was also aboard the USS CUMMINGS in WW2. Both he & I enjoyed meeting with Chuck, Izetta and others at those ship reunions. Chuck & Izetta were wonderful people. I will never forget them.
I would like to send my condolences to Charles & the rest of the family. My mother, Hazel, spoke a lot about Charles & Izetta, and I know both of these ladies are in a better place. May both of these ladies Rest in Peace and God Bless their families.

Izetta was truly someone who touched my heart. Her Mother and my Grandmother were sisters. She got the family together for reunions, and showed how much she cared for all of us. Although I live far away, we stayed in touch over the years. She will always be very special to me.
