Ila McManus' Obituary
Ila Mae McManus, 93, of Camanche, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian McManus, Don McManus, Jr., Albert McManus, Danny McManus, Mike McManus, and Patrick McManus. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00am to the service time at the funeral home. Ila Mae Bentley was born on February 26, 1918 in Clinton County, Iowa the daughter of Buren and Dora (Biggs) Bentley. She married Robert McManus on May 9, 1938 in Clinton; he later died October 20, 1989. Ila was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, Rebbecka Circle, the Women’s Club, 55 Alive Club and the Garden Club. Ila is survived by four sons: Donald (Nancy) McManus of Camanche, Robert (Bonnie) McManus of Camanche, James (Kathleen) McManus of Olympia, Washington, and David McManus of Camnche; her daughter-in-law: Diane McManus of Camanche; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Jay (Faye) Bentley of Camanche. Ila was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Thomas, one sister, and four brothers. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
