Holly A. Youngquist's Obituary
Holly A. Youngquist, 56, of Clinton passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her home – Clinton.
Memorial Services will be July 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church in Clinton. A light lunch will follow the memorial service. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Holly Annette Youngquist was born October 20, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Wayne and Geraldine (Smith) Youngquist. She was a 1981 graduate of West Branch High School. She received her bachelors degree in religion from the University of Iowa in 1997 and went on to earn her masters degree in library sciences in 2003.
Holly grew up in Fort Dodge and West Branch and worked in her local library in high school. After getting her Masters degree, she worked at the library in Newton. She relocated to the Clinton area for a career opportunity at the Clinton Library in 2013.
Holly enjoyed books and getting people involved with the library. She was passionate about writing and supporting local writers. She was a published author. She was involved with the Society of Creative Anachronism and was fascinated by medieval history. She enjoyed and was talented at crafting.
She is survived by her sister Heide (Merril) Muhs of Isanti, Minnesota and two nephews: Brian and David Muhs both of Isanti, Minnesota. Holly was preceded in her death by her parents and grandparents. Holly will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Memorial may be directed to her family.
