Hobart Bloomfield's Obituary
Hobart L. “Skip” Bloomfield Jr., 60, of Camanche died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at home. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory where a 7:00pm Vigil service will be conducted. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. Hobart Luther Bloomfield Jr. was born on April 21, 1950 in Morris, IL, the son of Hobart and Patricia (Wardinski) Bloomfield Sr. He attended Morris schools. He was a Riverboat Captain with Illinois Marine Towing for 18 years until retiring in September 2010. Skip loved to fish and sing karaoke. He is survived by 4 sisters: Linda (Bob) Ramsey of Bristol, VA, Diana Underwood of High Point, NC, Nancy Bloomfield of Camanche, and Paula (Mark) Spolarich of Hampton, IL; 2 brothers: Jeff (Kathy) Bloomfield of Durant, IA, and Brian (Lupe`) Bloomfield of Atkinson, IL; one daughter: Michelle Millage of Simi Valley, CA; brother in law: Richard Fisbee of Cainsville, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marcia Frisbee. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
