Helen M. Jorgensen, 97, of Clinton, passed away, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Prairie Hills – Clinton.
Graveside Services will be 11:00am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Helen Maurine Hultman was born on June 1, 1923 in Wausa, Nebraska the daughter of Iver and Ruth (Peterson) Hultman. She was a graduate of Wausa High School and attended business college in Omaha. She married Raymond Jorgensen on June 28, 1944; he passed away August 9, 2015.
Helen was a bookkeeper and medical dictator. She worked for Dr. Taylor and the Clinton YMCA. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was also a member of the Agatha Circle at Jane Lamb, a Girl Scout Leader and past President of Longfellow PTA. She enjoyed needleworking.
Helen is survived by her daughters: Kathryn (Calvin) Cossey of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Carol Behrens of Clinton; five grandchildren, including local granddaughter: Dr. Sarah Behrens of Madison, Wisconsin; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister: Verlyn Banks of Silverdale, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son-in-law: Paul Behrens, one brother, and one sister.
Memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus and I.D.E.S (International Disaster Emergency Service). The family would like to extended their gratitude to Prairie Hills and Compassus for their loving care.
