Helen B. Dierksen, 93, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, August 07, 2015 at Eagle Point Nursing Home, Clinton.
Memorial Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Helen B. Hook was born on April 6, 1922 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Mary (Trimble) Hook. She was a 1940 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Norman Dierksen on July 4, 1941 in Clinton; he died in October of 1971.
Helen was employed with Nielsen’s Clearing House for 17 years retiring in 1987.
Helen was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering with Mercy Auxiliary. She also enjoyed traveling and bowling.
Helen is survived by her daughter: Norlene Tholen of Clinton, one son: Allan (Jeanette) Dierksen of Port Byron, New York; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; one sister: Bernita Diercks; and one brother: Richard Hook of Camanche.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, one son, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to Lyon’s United Methodist Church..
