Hazel Hein's Obituary
Hazel M. Hein, 73, of Fulton, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Private Family Services will be held. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Hazel Marie Swaagman was born on June 23, 1934 in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Edna (Hilsinger) Swaagman. She married Robert J. Halverson in February 1953 in Fulton, Illinois. She later married Charles Hein in 1974. Hazel was a homemaker and caregiver. She also attended Fulton Presbyterian Church. Hazel is survived by two sons: Michael Halverson of Clinton and Robert D. Halverson of Fulton, three daughters: Julie (Don) Jensen of Fulton, Colleen (Jerry) Turner of Manchester, NH, and Janet (Joe) Griessler of St. Charles, Illinois; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; one borther: James (Jackie) Swaagman of Alamogordo, New Mexico; and two nieces. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents. The family requests that memorials be made to the Harbor Crest Nursing Home.
