Harry Isenhour's Obituary
Harry M. Isenhour, 62, of Camanche, IA, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at his home in Camanche surrounded by his children, brothers and sisters. Services will be held at the Catholic Church of the Visitation, Camanche, on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where a 4PM vigil service will be conducted. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cleppe, Bradley Judge, Colleen Melody-Stoner, Allison Melody, Eric Isenhour, Carrie Millard and Victoria Isenhour. Harry was born on August 19, 1945, in Clinton, IA, the son of Harold and Marian Rose (Whalen) Isenhour. He was a 1964 St. Mary's High School graduate. Harry was a U S Army 82nd Airborne veteran. He had been employed as an engineer with the Chicago Northwestern/Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years prior to retiring in August of 2005. Harry was a member of the Catholic Church of the Visitation, AMVETS, Moose, Eagles Club, American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and NARVRE. Survivors include his son, William "Billy" (Francine) Isenhour of Louisa, VA; daughters, Amy (Jason) Maresca of Fulton, IL and Malinda "Mindy" Isenhour of Clinton, IA; 2 grandchildren, Rosaria and Joshua; brothers, Tom (Velvet) Isenhour of Clinton and Andy (Tammy) Isenhour of Clinton; sisters, Marianne Melody of Port Byron, IL; Christine (Chuck) Lang of Fairfield Bay, AR; Amelia (Randy) Snyder of Albany, IL; Judy (Ed) Ryan of Clinton and Nancy (Ron) Juist of Clinton; and 15 nieces and nephews. His parents and his brother-in-law, Lee Melody, preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Visitation or Heartland Hospice.
