Harold Edward Bengtson's Obituary
Harold Edward Bengtson, 67, of Camanche, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at his home in Camanche. Services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at The Camanche Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Camanche Chapel. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Harold was born December 2, 1947 in Clinton, the son of Harold LeRoy and SueAnn (Westgate) Bengtson. He received his associate’s degree in electronics form Clinton Community College. Harold was a US Navy Vietnam veteran; he was very proud of his military service and served on board the ship, the USS Ouellet.
He was part owner and employed with Bengtson-Carlberg Construction for many years. He retired in 2014.
Harold was a firefighter and EMT with the Camanche Fire Department, he was a former Mason and was interested in astronomy and history and was an avid reader. He enjoyed spending time having coffee with his friends at the Village Inn and enjoyed hunting and shooting. His family was very important to him.
Survivors include his sister, Rose (Joe) Sanders of Camanche; brothers, Tommy Bengtson of Davenport; David (Margi) Bengtson of Clinton and Edward Bengtson of Oregon and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Camanche Fire Department.
