Harleane J. Stamp's Obituary
Harleane J. Stamp, 93, of Camanche, passed away, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Park Vista.
A private family graveside service will be at the Rock Island Arsenal. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
Harleane Joan Green was born on October 9, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Harley and Ethel (Antrim) Green. She was a 1949 graduate of Woodruff High School. She attended college at Bradley University and worked part-time at the library. She married Gerald “Buck” Stamp on March 15, 1952 in Peoria; he passed away on September 28, 2016.
Harleane worked at a hospital and bank in Peoria. She was a manager of the guest house at the Elmendorf Air Force in Anchorage, Alaska. She also worked at Sanitary Dairy in Clinton.
She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She enjoyed collecting gnomes, sewing, and spending time on her iPad.
Harleane is survived by her daughter: Susan (Steve) Reckman, Scott Stamp; grandchildren: Nathan (Cara) Reckman, and Britni (Jared) Parker; great-grandchildren: Brinley and Maxton Parker, Harley Reckman, and Giana Ford. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
