Greg W. Hoppe's Obituary
Greg W. Hoppe, 63, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Alverno, Clinton.
Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, October 6, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until the service hour Friday at Church. Burial will be at a later date at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Mike Hoppe, Kelly Hoppe, Kevin Hoppe, Willy Hoppe, Corey Triggs, Don Goodridge and Alan Hill. Gregory was born February 29, 1960 in Pierre, SD, the son of Harold and Mary Ann (Luke) Hoppe. He was employed as an Iron Worker and was a member of Local 111, Iron Workers Union for 45 years.
Greg was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his daughters: Hannah Hoppe and her husband Corey Triggs of Milwaukee, WI and Brigitte Hoppe of Burlington, IA; his father Harold Hoppe of Clinton and brothers, Mike (Cindy) Hoppe of Clinton, IA; Kelly (Kristen) Hoppe of Bettendorf, IA and Kevin (Linda) Hoppe of Greensboro, NC and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Linda.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to L’Arche Clinton or the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
